About Katie

Hello and welcome. Katie has been taking photographs before she was able to drive. It started as snapping photos of friends, relatives, and random objects and setting up elaborate and fun photoshoots at a very young age. Her interest in art and photography continued and she started Vision Portalis, Photography and Fine Art. She has a B.S. from Texas Christian University as well as an M.S. degree from Tarleton State University.

She takes pride in being an exceptionally versatile photographer. Her photography works include commercial, editorial, and event photography providing images to support businesses whether it has been to showcase their products or provide images to bring their business to life visually. She's also skilled in portrait photography and believes portraits should be works of art. She also specializes in a process of portrait retouching, enhancing one’s natural beauty, for a flawless and optimal image.

Her past commercial and editorial work has included creating images for the following: Fogo De Chao, Triangle Engineering, Lovingly, Toys for Tots, Holistic Hemp, A Better Closing Notary, Down to Earth Interior Solutions, Dr. Mandy Jordan, Abundant Life Counseling, Casa De Ojos, Hey Iceland, Freebird Meditations, Army Black Knights, Aum Rhythms Festival, Deep Ellum Arts Festival and SXSW Music Festival.

In addition, she enjoys creating fine art photography creating colorful and surreal images by combining a variety of mediums with various digital editing techniques. She also enjoys creating more naturalistic images often through the use of a macro lens to capture the beautiful intricacies of the natural world. Her art is available for commercial licensing as well as a variety of print options.
